Across Canada, YWCAs have been celebrating women’s leadership and success through the Women of Distinction Awards for over 25 years. Award recipients are nominated by their peers to be recognized and celebrated at this community event. Women of Distinction inspire others to excellence and leverage their accomplishments to enrich our community.
This prestigious event brings together a blend of established women,Two-Spirit and gender diverse leaders and young women, Two-Spirit and gender diverse aspiring leaders. It provides inter-generational mentorship and networking; inspiring youth to strive for excellence and helping pave the way for these future leaders to become change makers in our community.
Women of Distinction is a wonderful example of mission driven fundraising: it helps fund YWCA Moncton’s core programs and services, while fulfilling our mission to support and empower all women and their families, fostering independence, wellness and equity for all.
