Education & Skills Development:

Community Adult Learning Program (CALP)
Academic services for Levels 1 and 2 and GED preparation programs are customized for individual learners' needs. The program offers standardized curriculum and testing providing accreditation for further study. Learners who complete GED preparation, go on to challenge one or more GED tests.

Life Skills & Financial Literacy Training
Life Skills classes focus on the skills we need to feel empowered, balanced, and in control of our lives. We follow a lesson plan and touch on a variety of subjects such as Self-Esteem, Assertiveness, Conflict Resolution, Healthy Relationships, Values, Goal Setting, etc.

YW Employment My Way
Employment My Way is a self-employment training program for women. Includes group programming (12 weeks, 3 half-days/per week for 12 weeks), one-on-one mentorship, and networking. Link for the Registration Form HERE

YW Youth Council
Be part of a national initiative with YWCA, YMCA, and PLAN Canada by joining! The council is a youth-led space covering a multitude of current issues and topics.

A Home For All
We believe everyone should have access to safe and affordable housing. YWCA Moncton provides supportive housing programs for women, children, and their families, who are homeless or precariously housed.

Support Programs:

Eating Disorders Support
In partnership with a local private counselor, YWCA Moncton is able to refer individuals ages 16 and older to an eating disorder peer support group.

Peer Support Groups
Peer-led groups and one-on-one mentorship. A series of exercises and discussions will offer participants hope and allow them to begin their journeys towards recovery and/or healing.

Self-Expression & Care
The YWCA Moncton realizes that finding time for self-care is not always easy. We have dedicated a time and date for women to stop and make time for themselves.  Activities may include journaling, art, painting, hair, nails, massage, music, coffee and snacks, etc.  Registration is not required and this program is free.
