Take Back The Night

Part of our Week Without Violence

Take Back the Night is a community march against sexual violence that takes place annually in communities around the world.

While the event is typically fueled by a healthy dose of indignation, it ultimately embodies a transcendent, hopeful spirit and a sense of solidarity amongst participants. We march because we believe our commitment and action on the issue of sexual violence—symbolized by reclaiming nighttime streets—can and will change the status quo.

Moncton’s first annual Take Back the Night was organized in as part of Week Without Violence 2012 by YWCA Moncton, Crossroads for Women, the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre, and Support to Single Parents with support from the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick.
