For more than 98 years, YWCA Moncton has been promoting wellness, building economic security, and creating opportunities for women, girls and their families by providing high quality, integrated services. Today, YWCA Moncton provides housing, daycare services, and women’s services throughout the Greater Moncton area. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton is committed to Canada’s young people, providing them with the highest quality, volunteer based mentoring programs and is guided by a Board of Directors. Many children and youth in Greater Moncton struggle with societal barriers and face adversities in their lives. Facing prolonged adversity creates toxic stress in the brain that can negatively impact development.  With the support of a mentor, through life-changing mentorship experiences to girls and boys, youth can reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the YWCA Moncton and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton Board of Directors respectively, the Executive Director provides leadership, management and direction to the agency’s activities, programs and staff to meet all organizational goals and objectives. You will play a key strategic role in shaping the future of current programs and ensuring their continued growth, stability and success. Leveraging relationships within the community and seeking out new opportunities for funding and support, you will guide fund development activities, write funding proposals and mentor staff to enhance overall fund development outcomes. You will provide general direction to the operational elements of the organization including human resources, marketing and communications, finance and administration. Working with the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for overall financial health and will ensure that all activities and programs are aligned with the values, vision and missions of YWCA Moncton and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton.
 
Qualifications
As the ideal candidate, you possess a graduate level degree in business, social work, health services or law; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, coupled with a minimum of 3 years experience in a senior management position - ideally within a board-governed environment. You are a proven leader, able to work both collaboratively and independently and you possess exceptional communication abilities in English and French.
