Request for Proposals (RFP) for Bilingual Fund Developer/Event Planner

Introduction: YWCA Moncton and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton jointly request a proposal from you/your organization to oversee two fund raising events: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton’ Annual Bowl for Kids Sake and YWCA’s Annual Women of Distinction Awards. These two events are major fund raising opportunities for both organizations and help ensure sustainability and longevity of our organizations.

About Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton has been serving children and youth in the community for over 43 years. The agency has seen 10 consecutive years of growth in service, and in the last three years alone, the amount of children served has more than doubled. In March 2018, YWCA Moncton and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton formed a partnership, which has strengthened supports to the families of the Greater Moncton. Through the sharing of executive leadership and space, YWCA Moncton and Big Brothers Big Sisters work hard to increase access to opportunities for families, specifically youth, so they can develop to their full potential. Through the partnership, the two organizations strengthen the capacity of the non-profit sector to deliver on their missions.


YWCA Moncton Women of Distinction Awards
These awards recognize women who through their own initiatives, ability and effort, have made exemplary achievement in their field, women who are outstanding role models because of their goals and the way that they have achieved these goals, women who have made substantial contributions to the social fabric of their communities in unique and individual ways.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton Bowl for Kids Sake
This event is the organization’s premier fund-raising and fun-raising event, where people get together with friends, family, and co-workers and have a fun time bowling in support of Big Brother Big Sister Mentoring programs in the Greater Moncton Area.

Project Deliverables:
The selected individuals or firm will be expected to supply all services necessary and appropriate to render Women of Distinction Awards 2019 and Bowl for Kids Sake 2019 successful fundraising events. Both events will take place before the end of April 2019.

Documentation Requested:
  1. Individual/Company Background and Qualifications:
  1. Provide your/your firm’s contact information and credentials
  2. Provide an overview of your areas of specialization, your passion, number of years in operations, etc.
  3. Provide an overview of educational background, specialized training, areas of specialization, years of experience, etc.
  4. Provide examples of recent successful large-scale fund-raising projects/events.
  5. Provide a brief summary of any key relationships that you/your team can bring to Women of Distinction Awards 2019 and Bowl for Kids Sake 2019 (sponsorship, media exposure or access, etc.).
  1. Proposed Fees for Services:
Please provide a budget that includes all anticipated costs and fees associated with your services, including the execution of the events. All anticipated expenses should be itemized with all hourly rates for services.

Potential successful candidates will be invited to a discussion/interview to further explore a potential contractual agreement.
